One of my Firmly Held Beliefs is that socks should have cotton and lycra in them, unless they are made of merino wool or are dressy trouser socks or riding socks. Ok, I have lots of exceptions, but ordinary everyday socks have to be a cotton/lycra blend, heavy on the lycra, with only mild ribbing. They can’t be too long, but they also can’t be ankle socks–they have to roll down.
I could say more, I really could. But since this is a test post, I’ll refrain.

Hi –
Thank you for your kind words. Wow! I’m just blown away by how generous everyone’s been (and I’m taking all the criticism to heart, too– it’s all good). I’m hoping the trucking community supports the book. I’d like to see civilians get behind it, too, and the marketing plan is built on those two (pretty darn big) markets. Time will tell.
Socks, eh? I wander around the house all day in cotton ragg. Mustangs, eh? One of our neighbors keeps a Mustang whose name is–wait for it–Sally. She dominates a Palomino (Mr. ‘D’) and a Morgan (’Major’), so she gets most of the carrots and apples when we walk by.
Thanks again.
